The workshop aims to provide a practical overview of how to conduct an effective risk assessment for event planning, and to establish a defensible level of documentation to ensure you can demonstrate a reasonably practicable approach to mitigation of foreseeable risk.
Following this workshop, you will be able to:
- Identify why risk management is important – mitigating liability and recommendations from relevant international case studies.
- Recognize the best practice process of risk management applied to events.
- Understand good risk-based decisions that add value rather than ticking the box.
- Explore short-cuts, workarounds and technology to help simplify a complicated process.
- Review risk verification, assurance and documentation.
